A note from Stuart Zadel

17 March 2009

Dear Friend,

It's amazing what you find in the country. There's just so much life outside the big cities... this past weekend I was at the Medieval Day at historic Abercrombie House in Bathurst. If you're ever up this way, be sure to check it out. They've literally got 24ct gold in their 134 year old wall-paper, as well as 6,100 gold foil sheets in their ceiling!

Anyway, all the Knights jousting and combat displays reminded me of a movie and how all the motivation in the world isn't enough... as I explain in this a short video.

Check it now:

"Temporary defeat should mean only one thing, the certain knowledge that there is something wrong with your plan. Millions of men and women go through life in misery and poverty, because they lack a sound plan through which to accumulate a fortune."

Weekly Success Tip

More Facebook and More Free Traffic

Last week we discussed how to invite your friends to join you on Facebook, and build a growing group of like-minded friends.

I want to add a few things to help you build your friends and traffic.

Firstly, by regularly adding photos to your Facebook, it puts you constantly in the eye of your friends and contacts. Also adding videos is another great way, as it updates on all your friend's pages in the same way.

Changing your profile photo from time to time will also do the same thing. There's a number of 'plug-ins' or applications that can help you do this such as 'Flickr' and a YouTube application. Simply type these into the search box in Facebook to find out more about them.

Now, where this thing gets really viral is that all the friends of your friends will be able to see that you have updated your stuff on their walls and may be inclined to check you out.

Also, one of the best ways to generate interest is to COMMENT on other's status updates. This not only shows up on your feed of activity, but also on theirs and to their entire network. From there, natural human curiosity takes over and people want to know who you are friends with and why they are commenting on your updates, or you on theirs. If so, they'll be inclined to go check you out.

As a final note and just to show you how fast things can move and change on the internet, just last week Facebook launched a new redesign and users are reacting with confusion...

It's a staggered roll-out, so while some Australians are already using the new layout, others won't see the changes until the end of this week... and Facebook has already received over 30,000 emails about the change.

There are four or so significant changes that users are coming to grips with. One key change is that Facebook has changed the status update question from "What are you doing right now?" to "What's on your mind?"

This area has also become the place to post links, pictures, video, and other types of content, which is also causing confusion, and makes it hard to tell what is status updates and wall posts!

Stay tuned for more!
