A note from Stuart Zadel

14 April 2009

Dear Friend,

Well, what an amazing couple of weeks it has been! We've kicked off our event season with two incredible events in both Adelaide and Brisbane. We have been truly humbled by the support we are getting and the phenomenal results our people are achieving by coming along... I’m looking forward to sharing with you some interviews, letters and updates over the next new weeks.

I've also just spent 3 days over Easter at beautiful (but rainy) Tweed Heads, recovering and writing a new book. While I was there, I watched the fireworks out my window which I captured on my camera for you, albeit slightly out of focus.

You can check them out here:

Shortly after the fireworks display, I went down to see the Jimeoin On Ice comedy show. The amazing thing is that within seconds of buying my tickets, I was able to inform people all over Australia of my whereabouts and what I was up to... and have people respond - all due to an amazing new social networking tool, which is the topic of this week's success tip.

Before we get there, I should also tell you the most exciting development in Think and Grow Rich history happens very, very soon.

Get excited... Click here to check it out :-)

Weekly Success Tip

Twitter Power 1

Like it or not, we now live in a digital age.

Interaction within the online world is becoming almost as significant as in the real world, and it's impossible for any businessperson to ignore the internet (and continue on as they always have).

The trouble is that keeping up can be a real challenge.

Just as you get your head around some new development, like Facebook, which we've already discussed at length... another new development is already there to take its place and the next thing is just around the corner.

The pace of it all can be dizzying and it's not just the middle-aged people, those who grew up with vinyl records and computers the size of small buildings, who are being left behind... a 25-year-old who works for me only recently discovered what Twitter is.

The news is not all bad, though, and some would say there's nothing bad about it at all.

Significant change has always created significant challenges – there were once protests, for instance, about steam engines taking the jobs of men – but significant change also creates enormous opportunities

It honestly doesn't take much to stay abreast of the latest developments.

All you need is a little curiosity, an ability to accept new ideas and a willingness to adopt new business practices.

Over the coming weeks I want to help you take the first few steps down the path towards understanding the phenomenon of online social networking using Twitter, and how that can be incorporated into your business.

So, let me ask you... Are you tweeting yet?

The best way to describe Twitter is as your own personal news ticker, or even a micro blog, allowing you to send and receive very brief messages with the people you are connected to throughout your business or social network.

Each update is a bite-sized chunk of information, up to 140 characters long, that is known as a tweet.

It's like phone text messaging and, in fact, it's possible to send tweets to and from mobiles so you can stay in touch with your network even when you're away from the computer.

Twitter has become a global phenomenon and has played a large part in a number of significant international events, which I'll tell you more about next week, and more importantly how to make money in your business using it.

For now, though, why don't you download Twitter and start having a play with it to familiarise yourself with the way it looks and feels.

Tweet you later!
