A note from Stuart Zadel

20 August 2009

Dear Friend,

I’ve got to tell you, walking through Adelaide Airport, watching this puppy's first day on the job got me thinking of Dolly Parton's famous song, ‘Nine to Five’.

I watched him walk in past the security check-in... no more than four metres later, he sat down. He’d had enough.

His handler then coaxed him another few metres further, but then he sat down again, refusing to go any further. A few more metres on I got him on film.

Watch this... isn't he the most cutest thing...

The funniest thing is, about 15 minutes later I saw his handler carry him out! All too much for Millie! Imagine if he was human, just another 40 years to go!

So anyway, to get you in the mood for this week's success tip below, I thought I’d include for you the lyrics to Dolly Parton's ‘Nine to five’. Sobering stuff.

Nine to Five Song Lyrics

Tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen;
pour myself a cup of ambition,
and yawn, and stretch, and try to come to life.
Jump in the shower, and the blood starts pumping;
out on the street, the traffic starts jumping,
with folks like me on the job from nine to five.

Chorus: 1,3,5.
Nine to five, what a way to make a living;
barely getting by, it's all taking and no giving.
They just use your mind, and they never give you credit;
it's enough to drive you crazy, if you let it.

Verse 2
They let you dream just to watch them shatter;
You're just a step on the boss man's ladder,
But you've got dreams he'll never take away.
In the same boat with a lot of your friends;
Waitin' for the day your ship'll come in,
And the tide's gonna turn, and it's all gonna roll your way.

Chorus: 2
Nine to five, for service and devotion;
you would think that I would deserve a fair promotion;
want to move ahead, but the boss won't seem to let me.
I swear some-times, that man is out to get me.

Chorus: 4,6.
Nine to five, they've got you where they want you;
There's a better life, and you dream about it, don't you?
It's a rich man's game, no matter what they call it;
And you spend your life putting money in his pocket.

"The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it!"

John Ruskin, as quoted in Think and Grow Rich in Property.

Weekly Success Tip

Last time we talked about changing our focus from wanting to make a million dollars to wanting to generate $100, $200, even $500 per week passively instead.

The best way to do this is to have a product to sell. Now the interesting thing is, is that it doesn’t have to be your own product...

Most people start out on the money game exchanging time for money. There’s nothing wrong with that, but sadly most get trapped here and don’t progress any further. The next rung up the ladder of the money game is to start marketing or selling other people's products or services for a commission.

This is as available to the every day person these days as turning on the tap in your bathroom. With the internet and things like eBay, you can be selling all over the world. Even better, the internet will tell you what you should be selling. How? By doing research, that's how.

One of the best sources of information products to sell on the internet is available at the website www.clickbank.com. Here you can do your own research and see the top-selling information products on the web, and get started yourself.

The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll be singing the lyrics to the song ‘Freedom’ instead of ‘Nine to Five’! ;-)
