A note from Stuart Zadel

Tuesday - 2nd March 2010

Dear Friend,

Wow! Can you believe we're already into our 3rd month of the year and this is only our very first newsletter for 2010!

While I do want to offer my apologies, it's a little hard to be too sorry when I know we're working on some BIG and exciting things internally. I can't reveal too much yet but you'll be hearing more very soon - so watch this space!

So, right into it then...

The start of the year is usually the season of 'Goal Setting', unfortunately come this time of year we start to enter into the season of 'Life's Getting In The Way, I Haven't Got Enough Time In The Day Realisation'

The funny thing about time that most don't realise is that its very much like money, and all of the issues surrounding the lack of it are DEFINITELY in your head.

One of the most common questions we (and our event crew volunteers more specifically) get is... 'HOW do you have the time to give up a whole weekend for free?'

And my favourite answer has always been... 'In order to get, why first you must give!'

For me this statement is completely true of money and of time.

In fact we believe so strongly in this sentiment that we've designed our 5 major 10-year goals with this is mind. For most you'll be aware of these but specifically I'm referring to:

Donating $1,000,000 To Charity

Since introduced this particular goal we've donated over $81,000! And while the main objective of business in general is to produce as much profit as possible, as you can see if we achieve this, and our other 4 goals (and I have no doubt we will), profit will inevitably follow.

Before you scroll below and read our first success tip of 2010 watch the video below which directly relates to one of the ways we're giving...

When you cease to make a contribution, you begin to die.

Weekly Success Tip

Below is a very common diagram you've most likely seen and is often referred to as the 'Time Management Matrix'. Its filled in with some of the most common tasks and activities you'd usually have to prioritise in an average day.

Now most people would agree that all their daily tasks would fit into one of the 4 areas below:

In my opinion... It's rubbish!

If something is not important, then it shouldn't be urgent. And if something is important - MAKE IT URGENT!

I guess specifically I'm referring to the last point on the list of the 'Important/Not Urgent' box. Personal development (giving to yourself) is often grouped in the same category as charity (giving to others!) While most people would love to be giving more, and feel its important, most just feel it's not urgent enough!

When it comes down to it, its really quite simple...

If its NOT Important - It's NOT Urgent! Every time you start to see your day being chewed away with those things that fall into category 3 replace them with something from category 2.

*ACTION STEP*

Make this one simple change and let me know how your results start to change!

To Your Success!
